The Hunger Dip Polar Plunge is a grassroots community fundraising event for the Penticton Salvation Army Food Bank with 100% of the proceeds collected going to that cause. If you would like to get involved contact us using the form below. Whether you want to become a Sponsor, take the Plunge yourself, or just donate to the food bank in a fun way (of course tax deductible) get in touch with us – help is needed! We need Polar Bears willing to take the plunge and willing sponsors. In fact anyone in the community wanting to take part in any way in this event is welcome to do so. It is just a small group of like minded community oriented individuals wanting to give back to our great community. If you want to save some time by showing up with a filled out copy of the Release Waiver that must be filled out in order to participate in the event, you can download the form using the button below. Get your Logo/name on our website and recognition in media/social media campaigns please make cheque payable to Penticton Salvation Army Food Bank with 'Hunger Dip 2019' in the Memo line.
Bring a towel! Registration at 11:00am
We will have a camp first started for people to arrive at 11:00am to register and sign waivers. (or download the waivers below and save time by submitting your waiver prior to the event or bring a filled out copy with you) We will have blankets and a fire but please bring your own towels!
January 1st, 2019 Dip at 12:00pm
The event will take place near Sudbury Beach, Penticton BC - There will be hot chocolate and snacks by donation for on lookers and participants. There may be prizes so keep your pledge ticket stubs!
